While I am rooted in North Wales, my lens is open to the world. I specialise in destination weddings for couples who value an editorial aesthetic, regardless of the coordinates.

The Lake District & Scotland: As a photographer accustomed to the dramatic landscapes of Wales, I feel at home in the fells of the Lake District and the Highlands of Scotland. I know how to work with rugged terrain and rapidly changing weather to create breathtaking art.

London or Romantic Paris: I bring a calm, expert presence to the fast-paced energy of city weddings. From Marylebone Town Hall to the luxury hotels of Mayfair, I capture the urban geometry and fashion-forward vibe of the capital.

FAQ

Do we own the copyright?

As is standard in the industry, the copyright remains with Martin Japheth Photography. However, you are granted a Personal Use License. This means you can share your photos on social media, email them to friends, and view them on all your devices.

Do you photograph weddings across the UK?

Yes. I photograph weddings across the UK, including North Wales, Cheshire, the Lake District, the Cotswolds, London, Scotland, Cornwall and other beautiful locations. Whether your wedding is at a country house, coastal venue, city hotel, castle, private estate or intimate elopement location, I can travel to you and capture the day with a calm documentary approach and an editorial finish.

FAQ

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, to secure your booking you will be required to pay a 25% non refundable deposit of the total fee. The remaining balance can be paid in interest free instalments.

The remaining 75% is due no later than 30 days before the Event date. If the booking is made within 30 days of the Event Date, the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.

Do you offer international destination wedding photography?

Yes. I am available for selected international weddings and destination celebrations. Whether you are planning a romantic wedding in Europe, a city celebration in Paris or London, a coastal destination wedding, or a luxury venue abroad, I can provide natural storytelling, elegant portraits and carefully planned editorial coverage.

FAQ

How does pricing work for UK and international weddings?

My wedding photography packages start from £2,000 for full-day coverage. For weddings outside my local travel area, travel and accommodation are quoted clearly in advance, so you know exactly what is involved before booking. International weddings are quoted individually depending on location, travel time, number of coverage days and whether you would like additional sessions.

What travel costs should we expect for a destination wedding?

For UK and international weddings, travel costs may include transport, accommodation, transfers and any additional time needed to arrive safely before the wedding. I will always provide a clear travel quote in advance. For international weddings, I usually recommend arriving before the wedding day to allow for travel delays, location scouting and preparation.

FAQ

How far in advance should we book a UK or international wedding photographer?

For UK weddings, I recommend enquiring as soon as your venue and date are confirmed. For international weddings, earlier is always better, especially if travel, accommodation and additional coverage days are required. Destination weddings often involve more planning, so booking early helps secure availability and gives us time to shape the photography around your location and schedule.

Do you arrive before the wedding day for destination weddings?

For international and destination weddings, I usually recommend arriving at least one day before the wedding. This allows time to settle, check the light, scout portrait locations, assess travel routes and prepare for the flow of the day. For larger destination weddings, multi-day coverage can also be arranged.

FAQ

Can you photograph welcome dinners, rehearsal events or day-after sessions?

Yes. Destination weddings often include more than one event, and I can provide coverage for welcome dinners, rehearsal gatherings, pre-wedding portraits, day-after sessions and farewell brunches. These extra moments help tell the full story of your celebration, especially when family and friends have travelled to be with you.

How long before we receive our gallery?

For most wedding packages, your complete gallery is delivered within 6 to 8 weeks. Your images are carefully edited and presented in a secure private online gallery, which you can access from any device and share with family and friends. The Ultimate Editorial Story includes a 72-hour sneak-peek preview gallery and full gallery delivery within 4 weeks.

FAQ

Can you create editorial portraits without making the day feel staged?

Yes. My style combines documentary emotion with gentle editorial direction. For most of the day, I photograph naturally and unobtrusively. During portraits, I guide you into flattering light, natural movement and relaxed interaction rather than stiff posing. The result is wedding photography that feels real, comfortable and refined, with an editorial finish.

Can we have an editorial portrait session in another city?

Yes. My Ultimate Editorial Story includes a styled portrait session in either Paris or London, creating a romantic editorial set beyond the wedding day itself. This is ideal for couples who want something cinematic, fashion-inspired and distinctive alongside their main wedding gallery.
