Do we own the copyright?

As is standard in the industry, the copyright remains with Martin Japheth Photography. However, you are granted a Personal Use License. This means you can share your photos on social media, email them to friends, and view them on all your devices.

How much does a Cheshire wedding photographer cost?

My 2027-28 wedding photography packages start from £2,000 for full-day coverage, from bridal preparation through to the first dance. The Signature Story is £2,450 and includes a handcrafted Fine Art album, while The Ultimate Editorial Story is £5,250 and includes extended editorial features, a 40-page Fine Art album and a styled portrait session in Paris or London. Every package is designed to be transparent, with no hidden costs.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, to secure your booking you will be required to pay a 25% non refundable deposit of the total fee. The remaining balance can be paid in interest free instalments.

The remaining 75% is due no later than 30 days before the Event date. If the booking is made within 30 days of the Event Date, the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.

Do you cover Chester, Cheshire, Wirral and the surrounding areas?

Yes. I photograph weddings across Cheshire, Chester, Wirral, North Wales and the wider North West. Whether you are planning a country house wedding, a luxury hotel celebration, a barn wedding, a city wedding in Chester or a relaxed countryside celebration, I can travel to your venue and help create natural, elegant and timeless wedding photographs.

Do you offer engagement shoots in Cheshire?

Yes. Engagement shoots are available as an add-on and are a lovely way to feel more comfortable before the wedding day. A pre-wedding shoot gives us time to get to know each other, practise gentle direction and create natural portraits in a relaxed setting. Cheshire has many beautiful locations for engagement photography, from countryside walks to historic streets and elegant venue grounds.

Do you offer digital files, prints, or albums?

Yes, Albums will be much cheaper if purchased as part of one of our packages. Prints and Albums can be purchased via the gallery, once you receive access to the online library.

Is travel included for Cheshire weddings?

Yes. Travel is included for weddings across Cheshire, Wirral, North Wales and the local surrounding areas. This helps keep your planning simple and avoids unexpected local travel charges. For weddings further afield, including London, the Lake District, Scotland, Cornwall, the Cotswolds or destination weddings, travel can be quoted clearly in advance.

Have you photographed at Cheshire wedding venues?

I work across elegant country house, hotel, barn and estate wedding venues throughout Cheshire and the North West. Cheshire offers beautiful settings for wedding photography, from historic buildings and manicured gardens to countryside estates and luxury hotels. If your venue is new to me, I will plan carefully, scout the light, consider wet-weather options and design portrait locations before the day.

What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

Rain does not ruin wedding photography. Cheshire venues often have beautiful interiors, doorways, covered areas, staircases, windows and gardens that can still be used creatively in wet weather. I always plan for rain, including indoor portraits, sheltered locations, umbrellas and soft window light. My priority is to keep you relaxed, comfortable and confident whatever the weather.

How long before we receive our gallery?

For most wedding packages, your complete gallery is delivered within 6 to 8 weeks. Your images are carefully edited and presented in a secure private online gallery, which you can access from any device and share with family and friends. The Ultimate Editorial Story includes a 72-hour sneak-peek preview gallery and full gallery delivery within 4 weeks.

Can you create editorial portraits without making the day feel staged?

Yes. My style combines documentary emotion with gentle editorial direction. For most of the day, I photograph naturally and unobtrusively. During portraits, I guide you into flattering light, natural movement and relaxed interaction rather than stiff posing. The result is wedding photography that feels real, comfortable and refined, with an editorial finish.
